6 killed as bus rams into truck on Abuja-Lokoja Highway

Six passengers were killed when a bus rammed into a stationery truck near Gada-Biyu on the Abuja-Lokoja highway.

A witness said the incident happened around 11am when a Toyota Previa with registration number: BDG 309 XK, coming from Abuja axis crashed into a DAF truck with registration number: FUN 360 XA.

He said, “The six passengers inside the bus, including a female, died instantly. Officials of the FRSC later arrived and removed their corpses.”

An official of the FRSC who preferred anonymity attributed the accident to over- speeding, even as he said the corpses had been deposited at the Abaji General Hospital in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
