Six people have been confirmed dead while 20 sustained various degrees of injuries in two separate road crashes in Niger State.
The Niger State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kumar Tsukwam who confirmed the crashes to our correspondent said the first one was a lone crash, involving a commercial Volkswagen with Reg RBC-640-XD.
He said the incident happened around 5pm on Saturday at Chiji Village on Kudu to Mokwa Road, claiming 4 lives and injuring 17 travelers.
The sector commander said 21 people were onboard including 2 male adults, 7 female adults and 12 children, explaining that 9 children, 7 female adults and 1 male adults sustained severe injuries and were taken to Mokwa General Hospital for medical attention while the remains of 1 male adult, 1 female adult and 2 children who lost their lives were handed over to their relations for burial.

He also said the second crash happened on Sunday around 10am at Matandi village on Kontagora to Yauri Road.
Mr Tsukwam said the second accident involved a blue private Toyota Corolla with Reg No MNN-169-KH and Black private TVS with Reg No GNN-445-QF with 7 occupants, including 6 males and 1 female, saying that 2 male occupants lost their lives while those who sustained injuries were taken to Kontagora General Hospital for medical attention.
The sector commander who described both crashes as fatal attributed them to speed limit violation and loss of control.
