Eyewitnesses revealed that some people who were killed didn’t even know what was happening in the area as most of them were coming back from the morning prayers.

Aminu Auwal, one of the residents, said he had to run for his life but watched them kill his neighbour after they met him coming back from the mosque.

Fatima Mukhtar, an elder sister to another victim, said her younger brother was stabbed severally on different parts of his body and they snatched his phone.

Our correspondent gathered that this is not the first time the thugs are attacking people in the state metropolis. Two months ago, they also attacked people, destroyed vehicles and stole valuables.

The spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna, said the police are investigating the incident.
