Six persons died in a road accident that occurred yesterday along Darazo-Dukku road in Bauchi State.
The state’s command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) confirmed the incident.
The Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi, while briefing newsmen in Bauchi said the accident involved a Volkswagen bus with registration number KTG-950ZZ and a Peugeot Saloon marked AKK-53 CB.
He said 18 people were onboard the vehicles, 12 male adults, four women.
“We got a distress call and rushed to the scene of the crash within some minutes for the rescue operation. When they got there, they evacuated the victims to the Darazo General Hospital for medical attention. It was at the hospital that six people, five male adults and one woman, were confirmed dead by a medical doctor,” he said.
He said the bodies have been deposited at the Darazo General Hospital morgue.
