Six persons, on Tuesday, died while nine others sustained injuries in a crash involving a truck and a Toyota bus around car park ‘C’ on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
It was gathered that the accident occurred around 11:53 am on Tuesday when the driver of the over-speeding truck, marked FZE 376 DI, lost control of the wheels and hit the bus with registration number ZUR 843 XA, from the rear.

No fewer than 20 people were reportedly involved in the accident, out of which 16 were male adults, three female adults and one male child.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in the state, Ahmed Umar, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital.
He explained that five male adults and one female adult were killed in the accident while seven men, one woman and one male child sustained injuries.
Umar said the driver of the truck tried to escape but was apprehended and taken to MTD Redeemed Police Division, Mowe.
The sector commander disclosed that the injured victims were taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) and Idera Hospital in Sagamu while the corpses of the deceased were taken away by their family members for Islamic burial rites.
