6,200 card readers for Anambra gov’ship — INEC

The INEC has assured that best card reader machines would be deployed for the successful conduct of the November 18 Anambra State governorship election.

The Director, Voter Education and Publicity of the commission, Oluwole Uzzi, who gave the assurance at a Voter Education Providers Implementation meeting in Awka, yesterday, disclosed that about 5,000 card reader machines had already been tested out of over 6,200 anticipated for the election.

He said the electoral umpire had recorded high level of success in the use of the machines since their introduction in previous elections, assuring of a continued improvement in subsequent elections to guarantee more efficiency.
