553 HIV/AIDS carriers to access free healthcare in Kano

Kano State Government has announced free health care services on all ailments for 553 people living with HIV/AIDS in the state.

The Executive Secretary of Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHCMA), Dr Halima Muhammad Mijinyawa, disclosed this in Kano on Monday during a courtesy call on the Director-General of the State Agency for the Control of AIDS (KSACA), Dr Sabitu Y. Shu’aibu Shanono.

She said the gesture was part of efforts to achieve a universal healthcare coverage in the state.
