Five thousand inhabitants of Madorawa Community in Sokoto will benefit from the free medical outreach of Nigerian Air Force in the state.
Commander, 119 Composite Group, Nigerian Air Force Sokoto, Group Captain Muhammad Adamu Garba, weekend flagged off the exercise at the community where free tests for malaria, HIV, hepatitis and eye problems were done, and drugs and eye glasses provided.
Garba said: “The NAF under the leadership of Chief of Air Staff AM SB Abubakar has provided quality medical services for underprivileged and vulnerable population through health outreach programmes and humanitarian efforts throughout the country.
“In keeping with this and in commemoration of
the NAF’s 55th Anniversary, the 119 Composite Group found it
appropriated to conduct this year’s outreach at Madorawa community.”
According to him, there has been an old plan for theNigerian Force to
establish its base in the community.
“We are here with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory
scientists, ophthalmologists and other healthcare practitioners to
provide quality healthcare services to the population of the
community. we have brought with us drugs, eye glasses and other
items,” he said.
