No fewer than 500 youth and women in Gombe State benefitted from modern agricultural techniques and vocational skills acquisition trainings sponsored by Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, representing Gombe Central Senatorial District.
The beneficiaries derived from Akko and Yamaltu/Deba local government areas of the Gombe Central, received skills acquisition conducted at the weekend by the Federal College of Horticulture, Dadin-Kowa; National Biotechnology Development Agency and the National Research Institute, respectively.

Speaking at the flag-off of the training held at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, the senator said the 500 beneficiaries were selected from 22 wards of the Gombe Central Senatorial District.
The senator also announced a donation of the sum of N200,000 to each beneficiary of the training, “as start-up capital to set up businesses and put into practice what they would learn during the training.”
