The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in collaboration with Edo State Government has empowered 500 youths and women who have concluded the National Industrial Skills Development Programme (NISDP).
The empowerment package included 150 sewing machines, 142 oven and gas cylinders, 50 welding machines and 125 computer sets.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the second phase of the programme in Benin, ITF Director General, Joseph Ari, said empowerment of youths was one of the initiatives of the ITF to key into the Federal Government’s job and wealth creation policy.
On his part, Governor Godwin Obaseki said his administration decided to partner with ITF to help grow the state economy as no country could develop without ensuring that the masses acquired skills.
