50% of police retirees have joined our verification platform – PTAD

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has revealed that about 50 per cent of retirees of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have been registered on its recently introduced technology identified as IAAC solution, an internet-based verification platform for all the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS) for pensioners.

The Executive Secretary of the PTAD, Dr Chioma Ejikeme, who disclosed this at a South-West Stakeholders Forum, held in Akure, Ondo State on Friday, said the retirees have confirmed their ‘aliveness’ through the IAAC solution in less than two weeks of the launch of the scheme.

Ejikeme explained that there was a need for pensioners in the country to embrace the opportunities provided by the technology, which was launched in April, stressing that outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari had made the payment of pension a “first line charge” of his administration.
