The iconic Azuri Towers, in the sprawling Eko Atlantic City, is ready for a grand opening come June 2022 with about 50 per cent of its apartments already subscribed.
The Business Development Manager, Eko Development Company, Mr. Adedapo Macaulay, stated this in a chat with a group of journalists on the sideline of the ride and drive event of the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Lagos from Coscharis Motors Plc.

The test-drive was done in the premises of the sprawling Eko Atlantic City playing host to modern, state-of-the-art high rise buildings, one of which is the Azuri Towers I and II which encompass residential and commercial apartments.
Macaulay explained that the Azuri Towers, siting on a 13,500 square kilometres of land, was built purposely to fill a gap – to provide maximum luxury and comfort.
“As you came into this building, you were driving 10 meters above sea level. The sheer engineering design that went into putting this city into what it is today is nothing short of magnificent,” he said.
When completed, the city is expected to accommodate 250,000 residents and 400,000 people working in it, he stated.
Despite the high cost of building, with a three-bedroom apartment going as high as $2m-$4m (about N823m – N1.7bn), the level of patronage has been amazing, he said, with over 50 per cent of the apartments already sold.
The clientele, he stated, consists of foremost industrialists who have worked very hard to build many industries in the country.
He said, the “27th to the 30th floors are single floor apartments, on a 1,041sqm two plots of land designated for six bedrooms and four BQs. Then we have our penthouse which sits across three floors, 2,400 square meters with private rooms. We have sold about 50 per cent of the apartments.
“The commercial building has about 32 floors, 29 of those floors are commercial out which we have sold 21 and we have only eight floors left.”
According to him, the developers are open to all classes of clients but who must be profiled to ascertain they are genuine businessmen and industrialists.
“Honestly we have to profile the type of people that come into our building because, one, we have to be sure of where the money is coming from and secondly too, to be honest with you, some of the clients that we have are industrialists. People who have worked very hard throughout their lives to build industries,” he said.
