The 24th combined convocation ceremony of the University of Maiduguri (Unimaid), suspended since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a prolonged university lecturers’ strike, would be held on September 23, 2023.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the institution, Prof Aliyu Shugaba, who disclosed this while inaugurating the steering committee and nine sub-committees for the occasion on Monday, said, “I urge you to hit the ground running and carry out the assignments diligently in the best interest of the institution.”
Shugaba said the convocation would witness the award of degrees and certificates for the 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions.
