A fatal auto crash has claimed the life of a five-year-old girl along the Onitsha-Enugu Old Road by Oye Agu Junction, Abagana in Anambra State.
City & Crime reports that four other people sustained various degrees of injuries in the accident, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.
Reacting to the accident, Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Nnaghe Obono Itam, advised drivers to always conduct necessary checks before traveling, especially during the ember months.
The police spokesperson in the state, Tochukwu Ikenga, said preliminary information revealed that the accident, which involved a Toyota Sienna vehicle carrying passengers en- route Lagos, was as a result of brake failure, adding that the vehicle rammed into people selling by the roadside at Oye Agu Junction.
