The police in Ekiti State have arrested five persons in connection with the kidnapping of the children and sister of their relative.
The command spokesman, DSP Sunday Abutu, explained that on October 4, they received a complaint from one Adelana Oyetuyi, that his twin sister, Odeyemi Kehinde, and his three children, aged one, two and three, had been kidnapped on Ikere-Ekiti road.

Abutu said, “Oyetuyi narrated that the kidnappers made contact with him through telephone and demanded N100m as ransom.”
He said detectives traced the hideout of the suspects in Ilorin, Kwara State, where it was discovered that the callers were relatives of Oyetuyi.
He said, “Adelana Taiwo, Odeyemi Kehinde, Alhaji Oseni Idaho, Azeez Misitura and Hammed Wasiu were arrested, and during interrogation they confessed that they planned the kidnapping to enable them get money to pay debts incurred by Adelana Taiwo and Odeyemi Kehinde.”
