Five people were reportedly killed yesterday because of a stampede at the 37 000 capacity Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo, during the President Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection rally in Taraba State.
Witnesses said the facility was overcrowded by APC supporters who thronged to the stadium for the rally.
Buhari during the rally promised to link Taraba State with Rail lines through Makurdi in Benue State which would also be extended to Yola in Adamawa State to boost economic activities.
