No fewer than five persons on Sunday died while one other sustained an injury in an accident at Ososa junction along the Sagamu-Benin Expressway.
Our correspondent gathered that the accident which involved an unregistered Mack truck and a Honda Accord car with no registration number, occurred at 6:09am.
The Spokesman of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun Command, Mrs Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Okpe said the accident was caused by speeding and wrongful overtaking on the part of the driver of the Honda car which resulted in a side collision with the truck.

According to her, eight people – seven men and one woman – were involved in the accident out of which five people died.
Okpe said two other occupants escaped unhurt.
She explained that the injured victim was taken to the General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode while the deceased were deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
Okpe quoted the Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, to have described the accident as an avoidable one if caution was put in place, and advised motorists to stop making quick turns on the expressway.
He sympathized with the family of the victims and advised them to contact FRSC Ijebu-Ode Command for more information about the crash.
