The Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Paul Okpe, who confirmed the crash, said, “My command and the police carried out the rescue operation and brought things under control.

“Five persons died in the accident while two who sustained injuries were rushed to the hospital.”

He explained that, “The truck was on the hill and so many factors might have been responsible for it. Some may say brake failure or the driver sleeping on the steering, among others. Until investigation is done, we can’t really say this is the exact cause of the accident.”
