Five people were killed at the weekend by armed invaders in two communities of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
Locals said four of them met their deaths at a fishing pond in Nyiev council ward while the remaining person was killed at Chongu community in the same Guma LGA.
A villager, who preferred anonymity, said a 45-year-old father of five, Tyowooga Iorpuu, was killed Saturday afternoon in Chongu community.
Chief security officer of Guma LGA, Christopher Waku, told our correspondent on telephone that the other four people, including three women and a man, were killed on Thursday in the fish pond when they went for fishing.

Waku added that on Saturday, the armed invaders killed one person in Chongu community in Mbawa council ward, stressing that the killers were all suspected to be herders.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, told journalists that she had yet to receive the report.
