“The DPO of Faskari (ACP Aminu Abdulkarim) was nearly killed as a result of gunshots and presently in the hospital.

“The same night yesterday (Wednesday) in the village of Sabuwa LGA, five people were killed and all their animals rustled.

“In the same night, the Head of Danmusa Local Government Area, who comes from Sabuwa LGA, was kidnapped by bandits who went in their hundreds and took him away with his son,” the governor said.

Masari further said only two weeks ago, the state lost over 50 people, saying “It is daily occurrence. My reporting officer, every morning, if he sees my face does not want to tell me what has happened, not knowing I have heard it earlier”.

“The residents were threatening to take up arms yesterday (Wednesday) around 3 am. I have to plead with their political leadership in Faskari because they have mobilised to go all out if it means dying.

“We told them that the bandits have more sophisticated weapons and more arms than using local Dane guns. You can’t confront them with it,” he said.
