Five youths were allegedly killed in Ibadan on Thursday when a group of youths attacked a dreaded Ibadan masquerade, Oloolu, while performing its annual rituals in the metropolis.
Eyewitness told reporters in Ibadan Friday that about 100 hoodlums attacked the masquerade while many other people were injured during the attack.

According to a source, the irate youths who were armed with machetes, clubs and cutlasses waylaid the masquerade when the rites were almost completed.
When contacted, the National President of Soludero Hunters Association, Oba Wahab Ajijola Anabi, confirmed the incident.
Speaking on the incident, Iyaloja of Oje Market, Alhaja Oluwakemi Laaro Akala, said the youths threatened to set her shop ablaze after chasing her sales girls away.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, CSP Gbenga Fadeyi, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
