5 keys to a happy ending

“And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.” Genesis 21:6. Sarah had a happy ending…

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.” Genesis 21:6.

Sarah had a happy ending when Isaac was finally born after 25 years of waiting.

Let’s see how it happened:

Roman 4:17-22 “17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.  [18] Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. [19] And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. [22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.”

God spoke in the past tense concerning an event that had not yet manifested. “I have made thee a father of many nations…”

Here is what God wants you know: If God told you, it has already taken place. Here is what you need to understand, God will not begin anything He has not finished.

Let me show you the 5 Things That Made Abraham A Winner:

  1. Revelation. Receive a Word from God. Your hope is important, but it is not guaranteed to bring results except it is based on a word from God. This is the mistake most believers make, they rely on their hope without getting a word from God. Merely hoping things will change will not bring about change. But when God tells you what to do, you can be sure it’s the right way out of the situation. Divine revelation is the foundation of miracles and happy endings. Divine revelation led Abraham and Sarah out of twenty five years barrenness. Abraham’s hope was based on the promise of God. In the Bible, faith is not a passion for the possible but a passion for the promise. Everyone faces challenges in life but not everyone knows the right thing to do. But the Holy Spirit knows all things and can be relied upon for guidance that can lead to a happy ending.
  2. Conviction. Meditate on the revelation until it becomes your only reality. Believe and be fully convinced. Divine revelation must become divine conviction if it’s to lead to a happy ending. The first key ingredient is developing full persuasion in the ability of God and in His integrity to fulfil His promise. Mummy put it this way: Convince Yourself Not God.
  • As we noted earlier, Abraham’s hope was based on the promise of God. He became fully persuaded. He believed God was able to perform what He had promised. As a matter of fact, believe it has already happened and you are just waiting for manifestation. Look at how God talked, Genesis 17:4-5, “As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5] Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.” Here God communicated at two levels, first the level of man and then went deeper into His level. “…thou shalt be a father of many nations.” Then He changed Abram’s name to Abraham and said, “… for a father of many nations have I made thee.” I am changing your name because I have already made you a father of many nations. It is done, settled!
  • Notice what Abraham did not consider. He did not consider the physical things he could see but he kept looking at the Word of God. There are things you must not consider if you are to have a miracle. Don’t consider the physical evidence or anything contrary to the position of the Bible.
  • Meditate on the promises of God as contained in the Bible. Read or rehearse the testimonies of those who have overcome this problem and build and strengthen your faith. Minimise contact or communication with people who put pressure on you. You need to guard your heart against doubt and unbelief.
  1. Action. Take steps of faith. If you believe it’s done, you will act accordingly. Act on the promise or prophecy. Act on divine instruction. Fill the water pots with water to get wine. Whatever He says to you, do it! This includes your attitude, confession, and other things you do. God named His son Jesus before He was born. This picture was engraved in Mary’s mind before she conceived. Name your first child if you have not yet conceived. Start calling yourself by the name of your first child. Buy baby things. Plan for your harvest. Start saving towards your car if you believe God has answered your prayer. Get a driving licence; start planning according to the miracle you are expecting because you know it has already taken place. The manifestation is just a question of time!
  2. Perseverance. Patience. Never give up. Everyone prays but not everyone has something to carry away. Not everyone enjoys to the full what is promised: only those who steadfastly endure while fully expecting their miracle. Hebrews 6:12 says, “12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” This is an unbeatable combination that guarantees results. Apostle Paul puts it this way in Hebrews 10:36 (AMP), “For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away (and enjoy to the full) what is promised.”

Against hope, Abraham believed in hope. The passage of time did not diminish his faith. He was prepared to wait for as long as it would take to have that miracle manifest in his life. Miracles don’t fail because God did not answer prayers but because people stop expecting. According to this scripture, Abraham never stopped expecting for 25 years. Fight your doubts. They will come but dismiss them. It’s not over until you win. You will have a miracle against all odds. Expect your seed to produce a harvest.

  1. Worship. Praise. Each time Abraham had an encounter with God, he will set up an altar and offer sacrifices unto God. He was a worshipper. Only worshippers command the attention, habitation and intervention of God. Matthew 8:2-3, “[2] And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. [3] And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Worship always results in happy endings. Become a worshipper and you will always enjoy happy endings.

In summary, the five steps are: RECEIVE A WORD, BELIEVE, ACT, WAIT and WORSHIP. Get ready for happy endings, in Jesus Name!

Have a blessed week!
