Five people reportedly sustained various degrees of injuries following an accident Wednesday morning involving a truck around the NYSC junction along the Kubwa express way in the FCT.
There was fear that others might have been buried by the gravel stones the truck carried.
A witness, Umar Aliyu, who put the incident time to some minutes before 11 am, said the driver was coming from a quarry site at the nearby Arab road on high speed only to be interrupted by other commercial vehicles picking passengers at the bus stop.
He said, “In the process of negotiating, the truck fell into a drainage and it affected many people standing at the bus stop, who either wanted to cross or waiting for vehicles.’’
