Five persons have been burnt to death while two others sustained varying degrees of injuries in an explosion at Ajilete axis of the Owode-Idiroko road, Ogun State on Wednesday.
Daily Trust gathered that the fuel laden tanker was descending the sloppy road when its tank fell off and went up in flames.

The truck was reportedly carrying 33,000 litres of diesel.
The explosion killed five persons on the spot and left two others injured. The victims were residents of the area, our correspondent further learnt.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Commander, Idiroko Unit, Akinwunmi Olaluwoye, told Daily Trust that contrary to earlier report that seven people died, he said only five deaths were recorded.
Olaluwoye who said that the accident happened at about 8:15am, added that the victims were burnt to death.
He said a bus and a motorcycle were equally razed in the explosion.
The Unit Commander disclosed that corpses of the victims have taken over by the family members.
He said “No vehicle rammed into the tanker. The tank dropped off from the back of the tanker and exploded. The number of persons involved are seven, five dead, two injured.
“The driver had taken away the head of the truck as at the time we got there. But we have allowed to police to take charge and handle that aspect.”
