The FCT Police Command has arrested five suspects over cultism and ‘one chance’ robbery along Gwagwa and Lugbe axes in Abuja.
The spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, in a statement yesterday, gave their names as Peter Ajari, Gideon John and Emmanuel Agwu.

She said the suspected cultists were arrested by police operatives from Gwagwa division during a routine patrol last Friday.
She said the suspects confessed to being members of Aro Baga confraternity terrorising Gwagwa axis, adding that a locally made revolver pistol and two unexpended cartridges’ were recovered from the suspected cultists.
According to her, the police operatives from the command’s Anti-One Chance unit arrested Blessing Nuhu and Ifeoma Nnamuchi, both members of a four-man ‘one chance’ syndicate operating along Lugbe-Galadinmawa axis.
She recalled that two members of the syndicate, Charity Timothy and Sunday Godwin, were arrested last Monday, and they all confessed to terrorising residents along the axis.
Yusuf said exhibits recovered included a Volkswagen car with registration number BWR 903 HE and a mobile phone, saying all the suspects would be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
