484 get N31m cash grants, 50 sewing machines, 30 motorcycles in Kano

At least 484 people selected from Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State have benefitted from an empowerment of N31 million cash grants, 50 sewing machines and 30 motorcycles on Sunday.

The gesture was extended by a member, governing council of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum in Yobe State, Nasiru Bala Aminu, popularly known as Ja’oji aimed at cushioning the effect of the current economic realities and to support those who toiled with the party during the struggle for the birth of the present APC led administration.

Speaking, Ja’oji said initiative is in response to the President’s call for all political appointees to evolve strategies to cushion the effects of global economic realities.

He said, “Though our appreciation was shown to many but selected individuals and groups in the past, today is, but a continuation of the same display of appreciation. To also cushion the effect of the global economic realities of which Nigeria is a political entity.

“Today’s event is for 484 carefully selected beneficiaries, where 4 people will be given a cash grant of One Million Naira each, the sum of N100,000 will be given to 200 people each, as 100 people will be empowered with the sum of N50,000 each.

“Still in today’s event, 100 people will be empowered with the sum of N20,000 each, while 50 people will smile back home with a Sewing Machine, each and 30 people will be empowered with a motorbike each.

“I am assuring all that President Tinubu’s administration is putting all the necessary measures and machineries in place to take us, Nigerians out of poverty and other related human setbacks.”

He added that the empowerment is part of his personal efforts as political appointee in the current administration in putting hands and heads together with President Tinubu for growth and development purposes in the spirit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) manifesto.

He therefore called on all the beneficiaries to make good use of their grants and machineries as well serve as guiding stars for the continuation of the effort.
