Kudirat Abolarinwa, a 45-year-old local farmer, has been allegedly raped to death in Ondo West LGA of Ondo State.
City & Crime gathered that the incident happened when the victim left her house to the farm to transact a farming business with a yet-to-be-identified customer.
The body of the deceased was found at Lekere, Ayeyemi area in Ondo town.
A source in the neighbourhood, who preferred to be anonymous, told our reporter on Monday that the family was greatly saddened by the incident.

He said the deceased allegedly followed an unidentified man to her farm to buy plantain and was in the process, attacked.
“She left the house and said she was going to the farm to sell some of her goods to a customer.
“Sadly, we were skeptical when she could not return early. It was later we got the news that she had been killed and her body was found inside the bush. “We saw the lifeless body and noticed the signs of violent marks on her body as she was naked with marks of cutlass,” the source said.
It was further gathered that the case was immediately reported to the Enu-Owa Police Division by the husband of the deceased.
Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Akure, the state capital.
She said Mr Tajudeen Bolarinwa, the husband to the deceased reported the murder case to the police, saying no arrest has been made yet.
“One Tajudeen Bolarinwa of Ago Road, Onipetesi village reported that at about 1630, his wife, Mrs Kudirat Bolarinwa aged 45, who goes from one farm to the other to buy kolanuts, was murdered in the bush by an unknown person.
“At the scene of the incident, the deceased was left with only pants and the side of her face, lower arm and head was severely matched.”
Odunlami-Omisanya, however, noted that an investigation has commenced into the murder case.
