The Chairman of the Fund, Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), while handing over the palliatives to the state government said each beneficiary would receive 10kg of rice, 10kg of maize, 10 kg of beans, one gallon of cooking oil and 1kg of salt.

Danjuma, who was represented by the Chairperson of the Fund’s Task Force on COVID-19, Toyosin Akerele Ogunsiji, said the items donated to the state were worth N100 million.
Other items include 20,000 pieces of reusable face masks, 10,000 pieces of hand sanitizers and 1,174 pieces of safety boots and goggles donated to healthcare centres across the state. He said those to benefit from the gesture include vulnerable households and persons internally displaced by banditry.
In his remarks, the state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, said the VSF has demonstrated high sense of responsibility and humanity in complementing government’s efforts of combating the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.
Masari said the donation brought succour to the most vulnerable persons and victims of banditry activities in the state, adding that necessary arrangements to ensure the palliatives reach the targeted beneficiaries have been put in place.
