Four severely injured victims of the October 8, 2020 Baruwa gas explosion have died in the hospital while four are responding to treatment.
In an interview with Daily Trust on Friday, the director of Clinical Services and Training in the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Dr Ibrahim Mustafa, said three patients were brought to the facility in Ikeja after the incident, but one of them who was severely injured died.

He said two others were responding to treatment.
Dr Mustafa further said out of the five patients taken to the LASUTH annex in Gbagada General Hospital, three died while two were responding to treatment.
He said the victims were being managed free of charge at the facilities owned by the state government.
The survivors could not speak with our correspondent as they were said to be in critical conditions.
Emergency responders on Thursday said eight people died and several others injured during the incident, which occurred at Best Roof Gas Station in the Baruwa Ipaja area of the state.
