According to eyewitnesses, the incident, which happened about 11pm Tuesday within a short distance from the Omoda mosque, was perpetrated by four boys.

“We saw them walking away majestically without any fear or interference,” one of the eyewitnesses said.
In the same vein, residents of the Ipata market area around Gambari and Amilengbe communities narrated how four persons stormed the area with dangerous weapons and left no fewer than two people dead.
Speaking on the development, the police public relations officer, Kwara State command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, called for calm and promised to bring the culprits to book. He confirmed two people dead.
