Four people have been killed in a clash between the Aye and Bagger cult groups in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State over debt collection.
A source said, “The conflict escalated when one of the victims sold drugs to a member of the rival cult without receiving payment.
“The dispute intensified when the victim attempted to recover the money from the debtor. The confrontation led to a violent clash altercation where the victim was assaulted.
“In retaliation, the victim later attacked the debtor with a weapon, triggering further violence between the two groups. The clash which began last Thursday culminated in fatalities over the weekend.

“Two people lost their lives in the Okogbe area of Otovwodo, while the other two were killed near Iwhreko and Ogor Park on Sunday morning.”
The state’s police spokesman, SP Edafe Bright, could not be reached.
