Gunmen have killed four workers of an oil firm in Assa, a community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.
Our correspondent gathered that the oil workers were on transit to their oil plant in the community on Monday morning when the gunmen opened fire on them.

Four workers died on the spot while others were severely wounded.
It is not immediately clear why the oil workers were attacked.
A police spokesman in the state, Mike Abattam, confirmed the incident.
He said the police command is investigating the incident.
The National President of Congress of Ohaji Youths, Emmanuel Ugorji, called on the police to beef up security in the area.
He lamented that several attacks and abductions had happened in the area.
