Four armed men suspected to be kidnappers have been shot dead by the operatives of the Edo state police command collaboration with the Inspector General Police IRT squad from Abuja.
They were shot on July 6 when they stormed Presco Oil Company Ltd along Benin-Sapele Road and abducted an expatriate working with the company.

Daily Trust gathered that following a tip-off, the IRT and the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime unit intercepted the suspects on the road and engaged them in exchange of fire.
The men, identified as Osaosemwen Osifo, David Ogba, Efosa Friday and Nelson Uchiko, were earlier arrested in 2015 for alleged kidnapping.
They had been charged and remanded at Oko correctional centre in Benin but regrouped after the #EndSARS protest in which hoodlums freed prison inmates at the two correctional centres in Benin City.
The four-man gang were alleged to have responsible for the kidnapping of one Engineer Ogbeide Nosakhare, Prof. Raymond Ozolua, Prof. Isah, and Mr Okon.
A Golf car allegedly used for the operation, two Ak 47 and several phones were recovered from them.
Police in Benin City have declined to comment on the operation, since it was conducted by IRT based out of Abuja.
