Four journalists were among 12 civil servants recently promoted to director generals in Sokoto State.

They are; Lawal Sadiq who was the Director, Rima Television and Abubakar Usman Junaidu who was a former Director of Information in the Ministry of Information and later Director, Administration of Rima Radio.

Others are: Usman Buhari Sani and Jelani Haliru Bawa who were all staff of the state media corporation before their new appointment.

It would be recalled that four journalists were made permanent secretaries by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal in 2019.

Swearing in the new directors general, Tambuwal said their appointment was based on merit; their track records in the state civil service.

He urged them to continue to contribute their quota to the development of the state.
