Four persons have been injured in an accident involving a police Hillux, a Peugeot 307 and a tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, in Suleja LGA of Niger State.
The accident occurred on the Suleja-Minna road when the driver of the Peugeot allegedly dangerously overtook another vehicle and hit the tricycle and the Hilux, pushing them into a ditch.
A tricycle driver who escaped the accident said, “I was driving ahead when I saw the car coming at top speed from the opposite direction. It missed me and hit the other Keke and the police vehicle. The vehicles fell into a ditch.”
A police officer who was driving another Hillux and travelling together with the one involved in the accident said.

“I saw him when he hit them and they fell into the ditch with one of our vehicles. When my colleagues heard me shout, they asked and I told them that our vehicle which was ahead had fallen into a ditch.
“So, we parked and attended to the people. None of our officers was injured, but the vehicle is badly damaged.
A mechanic, Muhammadu Sani, whose workshop is located near the scene of the accident, said they were engrossed in their work when they heard the crash and saw the vehicles running down the slope beside the road into a ditch.
