It said the goods formed the bulk of seizures made by officers of the unit in the last six months.
Briefing news men on Wednesday on the achievements of the team in the last six months, the Coordinator of the strike force, Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DCC) Mohammed Sani Yusuf said several quantities of textile which were being smuggled into Nigeria through the waterways were also recovered.
Yusuf said the recoveries were made possible as a result of weeks of discrete tracking.
He noted that while officers were at the creeks monitoring the movement of the criminals, others on noticing the presence of the officers turned their boats to where they were coming from.
