The spokesman of the police in the state, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the investigation led to the arrest of the buyer of the stolen animals.

Meanwhile, the News Agency of Nigeria also reports that a 51-year-old man, Ademola Adetoun, on Monday, appeared before an Ikorodu magistrates’ court in Lagos State for stealing four goats.

The prosecutor, Insp Christian Okonofua, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in January, at No 1, Living Fountain, Owode Elede on Ikorodu Road in Ikorodu.

Okonofua said the defendant entered a premises and stole four goats valued at N200,000, and diesel belonging to the complainant, Mrs Faith Ejere.

The magistrate, Mrs T.A. Shotobi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to May 19. (NAN)
