The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has banned for one year the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) official who was caught urinating on the pitch of the Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan.

Auwal Mohammed who is the club’s camp commandant was pictured urinating on the pitch before the home game with Akwa United last Sunday and has now been suspended from all NPFL-related activities for one year and his actions have been deemed “capable of bringing the game to disrepute”

However, the said match eventually ended 2-2 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.

The ugly incident had subsequently gone viral on social media with fans of the NPFL taking a swipe at the league organizers and management of the ‘Oluyole Warriors’.

The IMC also fined the club N500,000 but 3SC have the option to appeal, but they must pay the fine within seven days.

In a summary jurisdiction notice signed by the Head of operations, Davidson Owumi and dated February 19, 2023, the club was further warned to take appropriate measures to prevent a future occurrence.

According to rule C26, 3SC was required within 48 hours which elapsed today to submit to the summary jurisdiction and the sanctions contained or elect to be dealt with by a disciplinary panel.
