37 bag first class as Salem varsity graduates 927 students

Salem University, Lokoja, has graduated 927 students for the 2017/2018 academic session, among whom 37  bagged first class degree.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dorcas Oluwade, who spoke at the 3rd and 4th combined convocation ceremony of the institution, said aside the 37 first class graduands, 509 made 2nd class upper division, 368 made 2nd class lower division while 13 fell into the 3rd class division.

Oluwade, on the occasion hinted that the institution has concluded arrangements to integrate the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) into the university program as part of efforts to make education available to all.

She maintained that the institution has raised and graduated global leaders who are capable of contributing positively to the economic development of the country.
