Arsenal and Leicester City are fighting it out to sign Nigerian midfielder Samuel Chukwueze during the January transfer window, according to the Leicester Mercury .
The highly-rated Chukwueze, who is capable of playing on either flank, has become a key player at La Liga side Villareal, having made 13 appearances this season, scoring four goals.
Villareal coach Luis Garcia is a huge fan of the speedy winger and is quoted as saying Chukwueze, who won the Under-17 World Cup in 2015 with Nigeria, is their “jewel”.
“I was told about Chukwueze. He’s got speed, spark, he can dribble. He’s a jewel we have to take care of,” the Yellow Submarines boss said.
FootballLive.NG report his form in Spain has led to the Premier League duo to take note with Atletico Madrid also linked a £36 million deal.
Chukwueze made his senior international debut in October where he dazzled with his pace and mesmerizing skills.
