The Federal Government says its Community Social Development Project has benefited 11 million people directly and 25 million others indirectly across in 29 states so far.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouk, said this in Abuja at the close out ceremony of the project.

She said the project became effective in 2009 and it had had two additional financings, all totaling $415m.
She said 16,166 micro-projects had been completed in 5,664 communities.
According to her, the micro-projects cut across eight sectors of intervention namely education, health, water, transportation, electrification, socio-economic, environment and community housing.
In another event, the minister said persons living with disabilities were not able to access assistive devices.
She was speaking also in Abuja at a stakeholders’ validation meeting on the draft national roadmap for local producers of assistive devices for persons with disabilities in Nigeria.
