The Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum (NHCF), with support from the secretariat of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and other health partners, will soon induct newly appointed Commissioners for Health across the 36 states.
In a statement signed by the spokesman of NGF, Abdulrazaq Barkindo said the induction was slated for Thursday and Friday this week with the theme: “Navigating Health Leadership: From Promise to Impact”.

He said the induction was aimed at strengthening the capacity of the commissioners on strategic, inter-sectorial, and socio-political management of the health system towards achieving better health outcomes at the sub-national levels.
The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Ali Pate; Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu; Special Adviser to the President on Health, Dr. Salma Anas; chief executives of national health agencies and development partners, including UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), are expected to share experiences and steer conversations during the programme.
