The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has given another set of 346 orphans grant in Sokoto State.
IIRO is an arm of the Muslim World League (MWL) based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia and largely funded by the Saudi Arabian government.

Speaking during the disbursement of the grant, a member of MWL, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, explained that the beneficiaries came from seven local government areas of the state.
Wamakko, who is representing Sokoto-North Senatorial District, added that each of the beneficiaries would collect between N250,000 and N400,000 and it was meant to assist then pursue their education.
Hauwa’u Hudu, a 15-year-old beneficiary told Daily Trust that with the support, she could achieve her dream of becoming a medical doctor.
Her mother, Suwaiba Gwanda, said she would not allow her to get married until she gets enough knowledge.
