Brigadier General Timothy Olowomeye has been appointed as the new Commander, 33 Brigade, Shadawanka Military Cantonment in Bauchi.
A statement yesterday by the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 33 Artillery Brigade, Major Joseph Adekunle Afolasade, said Brigadier General Olowomeye took over from Brigadier General Abraham Dusu who has been redeployed to the Nigerian Army School of Artillery Kachia, Kaduna State.
The statement described Brigadier General Olowomeye as a seasoned senior military officer who held various command and staff appointments.
“He was Deputy Director, Army Transformation and Innovation Centre, Abuja. He is a fellow of the National Defence College, Abuja.
“Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Commandant Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Kachia, Kaduna State.
“He assumed command of the Bridge following a routine handing and taking over ceremony at Bridge Headquarters in Shadawanka Military Cantonment, Bauchi earlier today 29 May, 2017,” the statement added.
