The items distributed to the widows included: electric kettles, electric stoves, vegetable oil, electric jugs, cartons of noodles, bags of rice and assorted packs of tissue papers.

Presenting the items to the widows, the Chairman, FC Ifeanyi Ubah Supporters Club, Awka North and South, Mr. Emeka Okwa, said the gesture was a demonstration of love to the widows

“We are not doing this to display wealth but to show love to mankind as lovers of football. When you go to Europe, they play a cup called charity cup, we are bringing it down to our people. So, this gesture is like a community shield, meant to show love to the people, especially the less privileged.

A beneficiary, Mrs Victoria Agummadu, a mother of six, prayed God to bless the organizers for remembering the widows.
