The supporters who arrived from all the thirty six states including Abuja have expressed readiness to cheer their darling team to victory over embattled Harambee stars of Kenya.

The President General of the supporters Club, Dr Rafiu Ladipo said he had mandated all the state chapters to mobilize their members to the city of Abuja for the crucial encounter.

He assured that each state is expected to parade fifty members while Lagos would feature over one thousand members being the seat of the Club.

Ladipo said this is line with the policy of the club to support the team at every match venue.

Meanwhile, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole has called on Nigerians to invade the National Stadium in Abuja to support the Super Eagles today.

Speaking during a courtesy call by some Management Staff of the Nigeria Football Federation led by the General Secretary, Bolaji Ojo-Oba, Bankole acknowledged the power and passion of the game, which transcends racial, religious and ideological boundaries.

He stated that the NFF’s initiative at wooing Nigerians from all walks of life was a good one, but regretted that most Members of the House of Representatives would not be at the Stadium as a result of the Retreat starting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday.

“However, I assure you that I will be there personally to cheer the Super Eagles against Kenya and mobilize Honourable Members of the House to be at their next home fixtures. The World Cup is a massive project and Nigeria must be there,” said the Speaker.
