300 Kano flood victims get relief materials

The Kano State Government, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), on Saturday, distributed relief materials to 300 victims of various disasters in the state.

Speaking during the distribution, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said the beneficiaries were selected from the five emirate councils among Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and flood and fire disaster victims.

Ganduje, represented by the Executive Secretary, Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr Saleh Jili, listed the distributed materials to include maize, rice, millet, guinea corn, Indomie, rice, beans, seasoning cubes and salt.

He called on wealthy individuals and the zakat commission to support such a gesture in helping victims of disasters and PWDs.
