The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has arrested 30 miscreants, including a female, in Oshodi.
The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on his X handle, said the suspects were immediately arraigned in a magistrates’ court sitting in the Bolade area on Tuesday.
He said, “30 miscreants, including a female, were arrested at Oshodi during an early morning raid by the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps @LAGESCOfficial.
“They were later arraigned before the Magistrate Court sitting at Bolade. 12 of them were given three weeks imprisonment each while the rest were given community service.”

Wahab also disclosed that the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office had re-sealed a residential property at 43, Adetoun Crescent, Off Olaniyi Street, Abule Egba, over “unabated discharge of wastewater onto the road and breaking of government seal.
“All arrested offenders will be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the law.”
