After a post-disaster assessment of the site of the Lagos gas explosion at Iju-Ishaga Lagos, Thursday, it was revealed that 30 persons were injured while 23 buildings were destroyed.
The injured consisted of 20 men and 10 women, according to the state emergency management agency (LASEMA).

A joint team of emergency responders comprising Lagos Fire, LASEMA, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), were able to successfully put out the fire.
The 30 ton LP gas tanker, operated by Mana Gas Ltd, exploded at Iju Ishaga Eliot while trying to enter a gas station, destroying several vehicles, an event centre and a plank market around the area.
Responders were said to have discovered that a compromised seal device in the truck led to gradual leakage which ignited when the truck tyres burst.
The 23 buildings destroyed comprised two residential buildings, a church, an event centre and four commercial buildings.
Also, a market consisting of 15 shanty shops was destroyed.
On the vehicles destroyed, 11 cars and one heavy duty truck were razed, according to the spokesman of LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor.
