Thirty-four people have been prosecuted for violating the monthly environmental sanitation law for November in Ekiti State and were fined N5,000 each.
Speaking on the development, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Mr Alolan Babatunde, called on the public to always keep the environment clean to guard against outbreak of diseases.

The Director of Environment, Tinder Balogun, advised the people not to dump waste in drains or canals because they would be blocked and lead to flooding.
